  1. Love this post! A few more things I have learned are; Koreans have no peripheral vision, random u-turns in the middle of traffic are totally acceptable in Korea and it is entirely possible to chase a moving car on foot and catch up to it no matter what speed it is going.

Yup, i thought I was the only one who noticed that poor people used really high tech phones. I asked a korean friend and she mentioned that koreans actually are very into gadgets and like owning the current high tech phones as well (not different for people in my country) but still....supposedly "POOR" people??? hmmmm I dont know about that one.

I think its an oversight on the part of the producers in their bid to promote their sponsors product (and I'm assuming Samsung is a major sponsor for most asian tv/entertainment)

    1. @seoulsistah - I'm pretty sure that's the point Coco's making. Of course it's product placement, like the US$45,000 watch a call centre worker was wearing in the opening episode of a drama just finished which I refuse to name.

    2. Yeah it's a little out of control. It's even more annoying that in one of Infinite's music videos the product actually gets more face time than they do!

  3. Every point is spot on, but the photo of Kim Tan and Eun Sang is a poor choice to support the point being made because of course those shoes are by far the most fashionable and least eye-bleedingly ugly things he's worn all series!

    2. So true, those heels always break!

Here in Seoul, it feels like everyone wears heels, no matter the occasion. It doesn't matter if you're walking, jogging, going to play tennis, or hiking. Poor Korean girls and their feet.
